The application for the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2025 is now open. This fully funded internship in Canada is available for international students. The 12-week internship takes place between May and October each year at a Canadian university with excellent research facilities. The MITACS Internship is open to undergraduate students or those in a combined undergraduate/master’s program from countries like Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Eligible Countries, Universities, and Disciplines for the MITACS Globalink Research Internship
Students from the following countries are eligible to apply for the Globalink Internship: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Eligibility Criteria
- Be at least 18 years old
- Meet the GPA requirements for your country
- Have at least one to three semesters remaining as of Fall 2025
- You can apply even if you don’t have a valid passport yet
- Obtain a reference letter from a professor
- Update your CV
- Obtain your academic transcripts (in English or French)
- Apply to a minimum of three and a maximum of ten projects, with selections from at least three different Canadian provinces
- Your passport should be valid until January 2026

How to Apply for the MITACS Globalink Internship?

After submitting your application, professors will review it. Successful applicants will start working with their host professors to arrange pre-internship details. Interns will arrive in Canada on May 1, 2025.
